Application of sulfur hexafluoride

1. A new generation of ultra-high voltage dielectric materials. As a good gas insulator, it is widely used in the gas insulation of electronic and electrical equipment. Electronic grade high-purity sulfur hexafluoride is an ideal electronic etchant, which is widely used in the field of microelectronics technology, as a plasma etching and cleaning agent in the manufacture of large-scale integrated circuits such as computer chips and liquid crystal screens. It is used as a fluorine source for the production of fluorine doped glass in the preparation of optical fiber, and as a dopant for the isolation layer in the production of low loss and high quality single-mode optical fiber. It can also be used as doping gas for nitrogen excimer laser. It can be used as tracer, standard gas or standard mixture in meteorology, environmental testing and other departments. It is used as insulation material for arc extinguishing and large capacity transformer in high voltage switch. It can also be used in particle accelerators and arresters. Because of its good chemical stability and no corrosion to equipment, it can be used as refrigerant in refrigeration industry (operating temperature - 45 ~ 0 ℃). It is also used in radiochemistry because of its high stopping ability for alpha particles. In addition, it can be used as an anti adsorbent to replace oxygen from coal dust.

It has no destructive effect on the ozone layer and meets the requirements of environmental protection and performance. It is a kind of refrigerant with great development potential. It can be used as electrical insulation medium and arc extinguishing agent, and as a tracer to determine the degree of air pollution.
